I think about these people who could care less about getting popular, developing the “next…

I’ma be where im at - 27/05/2011

So i’ve been slack with the updates, but to be honest, i’ve been trying to eat as cleanly as I can, but this work has proven difficult with late shifts and what not.  I’ve snuck in a chocolate here and there and am feeling mad shitty about it.  So will be changing that up this weekend with a visit to the grocery store.

Haven’t done much in the way of working out, but i have put up a weekly workout challenge on my fb :www.facebook.com/mark.t.reyes

Go check it out if you’re bored.  Otherwise, have a good Friday and i’ll catch you soon!

Playing catch up 18/05/2011

Aigh so for lunch yesterday, i had a small cup of brown rice which is cooked by putting it in the micro and a can of green seas tuna in olive oil (drained the olive oil of course)

Went for a quick run around a path (and by quick run I mean I died) out at Sydney park (off Sydney Road @ St Peters).  Did about 1.5 laps (will measure the distance later) but it was very hilly … Good guage of where i’m at with running.  Afterwards I downed a tiny protein bar I had lying around as I didn’t have my protein shake on me.

For dinner, I ate pretty much after training, had half of my serving of pasta cos of where i was at which had chicken and mushrooms, tried to clear off as much of the cream sauce as I could (I know, carbs before training, but on early shift so still trying to figure this ish out).

Today (Thursday 18th), brekkie I had oatmeal again and a slice of toast with natural peanut butter on it.  Munchin on an apple now and will prob cop a coffee in a sec (no milk, no sugar).

Will try keep posting throughout the day.

Be good!  Peas!

On the drive into work, I downed a energize choc up and go (350ml):

Calories 301 Sodium 315 mg Total Fat 5 g Potassium 770 mg Saturated 1 g Total Carbs 40 g Polyunsaturated 3 g Dietary Fiber 5 g Monounsaturated 1 g Sugars 25 g Trans 0 g Protein 21 g Cholesterol 0 mg     Vitamin A 17% Calcium 50% Vitamin C 25% Iron 29%

Did this, cos I know i’ll be training today.

When I got into work, I had a bowl of uncle tobys oatmeal (original) quick sachet, mixed with water:

Fat  3.1g

Carbohydrates  25.5g

Sugars 6.5g

Oh … and drinking a whole lot of water and x1 cup of coffee and hot water.  No milk and/or sugr.

As you can see, the nutritional values are layed out differently.  Where I can, i try to use teh site www.myfitnesspal.com to determine the details of the food i’m eating, otherwise i’ll just dump it straight from the labels.

Lemme know what you guys think?

Workout - 17 May 2011

Weight on 15 (presummably kgs)
“Got ruined on the last set…”

Squats with medicine ball
2kg medicine ball
Stand about 2ft from a wall the won’t break if something is thrown at it.
Hold ball at chest as if to do a chest pass.
Squat. Once returned to full height, chest pass the ball to the wall and catch rebound
12 x 4

Sit ups with twist (with a 3kg ball) - only did manage to push out 20 x 2 (twisting in alternate directions at full height)

Finished off with a warm down on the treadmill for 5 mins, 1 min jog at 7.5 and gradually lowered to a walking pace of 4.5.  Stretched as well.

For my first workout in a long time it hurt me good, but like I said, just trying to get back into it.

Will also be including my diet regularly to show you (and to log) what it is that I eat.

Let us know what you guys think, and what I can improve on!

Dust yourself off and try again …

Aigh … so those of you who read this blog of mine know that i’ve probably made a thousand gazillion attempts at getting fit.

Don’t get it twisted … this is another one of those times.

Say what you will, but It takes a man to admit he’s failed a few times … I’ll be the first to put my hand up and say that my walk down the fitness path has faltered by the way side quite a few times.

Anyway … i’m not going to get caught up on the whats and whys.

I’m back … im making another attempt.  That’s it.

Thanks to those of you showing mad love and support … I can only hope I can support you guys back in your endeavors.

To the haters … thanks for taking the time out of your day to hate me!  Appreciate it.

Aight … on with it …
